Technical Excellence

All Financial Planners require a Diploma in Financial Planning to provide advice. Ben holds both the Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. To achieve Chartered status, Financial Planners must hold Advanced Papers from the CII. Ben holds the following Advanced Financial Planning Papers:

Financial planning: Ben builds long-term strategies that align goals, resources, and lifestyle priorities.

Pension planning: He designs retirement solutions that balance security, flexibility, and tax efficiency.

Taxation and trusts: He structures wealth to protect assets, reduce tax exposure, and support succession.

Investment planning and Business financial planning: He develops portfolios that match objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizons.

Ben is a Liverpool supporter and a dedicated family man with two children. He’s lived abroad for several years before returning to the UK, two in Australia and five in Auckland, enjoying a lively career in sales managing across the continent.

Sport and fitness play a big part in his life. He played rugby when he was younger and now stays active through golf, padel, five-a-side football, and twice-weekly gym sessions. He spends regular time on the golf course, including trips to Wales with friends, and jokes about “Project Rory McIlroy” as he encourages his son into the sport. He’s also ran the Manchester Marathon, the Leeds Half, and the Liverpool Half, where he raised money for Zoe’s Place, a children’s hospice in Liverpool.

He’s deeply involved in both community and professional outreach. Once a month, he volunteers, putting on networking events for local businesses.

Outside work and sport, he listens to political podcasts, but also stays worldly on his trips abroad, including Japan, a favourite destination of his.
