Our Commitment 

At Attivo, we are committed to providing a professional, respectful and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. 

We have a zero-tolerance approach to harassment, sexual harassment, bullying, victimisation and inappropriate behaviour of any kind. We expect all employees, clients, suppliers, contractors, business partners and visitors to behave in a manner that supports a safe and respectful working environment. 

Any concerns raised will be taken seriously and investigated appropriately. 

What is Harassment?

Harassment is unwanted behaviour that violates a person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. 

Harassment can take many forms, including: 

  • Offensive, abusive or insulting comments. 
  • Intimidating or threatening behaviour. 
  • Bullying. 
  • Excluding someone from conversations or activities. 
  • Mocking or belittling an individual. 
  • Offensive written material, images or communications. 
  • Unwanted physical contact. 
  • Inappropriate online or social media behaviour. 

Harassment may occur in person, by telephone, in writing, online, through social media or through any other form of communication. 

What is Sexual Harassment? 

Sexual harassment is unwanted conduct of a sexual nature that violates a person’s dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. 

Examples may include: 

  • Sexual comments, jokes or innuendo. 
  • Unwelcome sexual advances. 
  • Inappropriate physical contact. 
  • Sharing sexually explicit materials. 
  • Intrusive questions about a person’s private life. 
  • Sending inappropriate messages, emails or social media content. 
  • Repeated unwanted attention or behaviour of a sexual nature. 

Sexual harassment is unlawful and will not be tolerated under any circumstances. 

Third-Party Harassment

Third-party harassment occurs when an employee, worker or representative of Attivo is subjected to harassment or sexual harassment by someone who is not employed by Attivo. 

This could include behaviour by: 

  • Clients or customers. 
  • Suppliers. 
  • Contractors. 
  • Visitors. 
  • Delegates at events or conferences. 
  • Members of the public. 

We are committed to taking reasonable steps to prevent third-party harassment and to protecting our employees from inappropriate conduct by anyone they interact with during the course of their work. 

Our Expectations 

We expect everyone who engages with Attivo to: 

  • Treat others with courtesy, dignity and respect. 
  • Behave professionally at all times. 
  • Refrain from any behaviour that could be considered harassment, bullying, victimisation or sexual harassment. 
  • Respect personal boundaries and individual differences. 
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment. 

These expectations apply in our offices, during meetings, at work-related events, on business travel, during virtual meetings and through all forms of digital communication. 

Reporting Concerns 

We encourage anyone who experiences, witnesses or becomes aware of harassment or sexual harassment involving Attivo employees to report their concerns. 

Concerns can be raised directly with our People Team by emailing peopleenquiries@attivo.co.uk.  

All reports will be treated seriously and handled as sensitively and confidentially as possible. 

Action We May Take 

Where inappropriate behaviour is identified, Attivo may take appropriate action which could include: 

  • Ending meetings or communications. 
  • Warning clients, visitors, suppliers or third parties. 
  • Restricting access to our premises or services. 
  • Terminating business relationships where appropriate. 
  • Taking disciplinary action against employees, up to and including dismissal. 
  • Reporting matters to relevant authorities where necessary.

Everyone has a role to play in creating a workplace where people feel safe, respected and able to perform at their best. We are committed to maintaining a culture where unacceptable behaviour is challenged, concerns are listened to and individuals are treated fairly and with dignity.
