ATTIVO
Reinventing Midlife – with Rosie Nixon

I am absolutely delighted that Attivo shares my vision for supporting midlife women.
– Rosie Nixon, Rosie’s Reinvention Retreats.
We are thrilled to announce that Attivo will sponsor a series of lifestyle-focused events for women wishing to initiate a step change and reinvention with Rosie Nixon: author, coach and presenter.
Rosie’s new venture, Rosie’s Reinvention Retreats, begins in October at the Fairmont Windsor Park. Each retreat day will deliver a curated programme of workshops and talks using the best coaches, wellbeing experts and start of the small business world, for women wanting to pause and plan their future.
Attivo will provide financial expertise at the retreats, addressing areas such as protecting your finances, demystifying investing and overcoming the typical ‘blockers’ enabling your financial position to facilitate your next life chapter.
The launch event of Rosie’s Reinvention Retreats with Rosie Nixon
The event took place on Friday 20th September, with Attivo a key partner for the retreats, along with premium skincare brand And Begin.
The day was attended by a fabulous group of women, including Amanda Wakeley OBE, news anchor Isabel Webster and TV presenter Laura Hamilton. Attivo’s Katie White and Nadine Perry also attended, alongside Attivo Life Mag editor Ally Oliver, to participate in a day of inspiration at the beautiful Corinthia Hotel in the heart of London’s West End.
To kick the day off, Rosie Nixon revealed that this was a full-circle moment for her. It’s been two years since hosting an awards event at the same hotel, which had been her moment of being overwhelmed when the juggling really became too much.
Rosie, the editor-in-chief of Hello! magazine at the time, experienced complete burnout and was on sick leave for some time from Hello! Ultimately, she retrained to be a coach and is continuing her career in media and as an author (her podcast Shake The Table interviews women in leadership and is a great listen). The retreats were a lightbulb moment when Rosie realised busy women need a moment to take time out – but they don’t necessarily have the luxury of disappearing for a week’s retreat when time is tight and demands are many.

The launch event featured a taster of what’s to come on the complete retreat package and included some soul-searching during a session with executive coach Jessica Manu Rogers CPCC. Attendees also experienced a session with celebrity ‘tapper’ Poppy Delbridge, who was workshopping on releasing anxiety and changing mindset.
There is a growing trend for midlife women to leave the workplace due to a number of factors. Disenchantment with current careers, the juggle of work and family pressures often made worse by peri and menopausal symptoms mean that an exodus from the workplace has become a real issue* at a time when midlife women have a vast amount of knowledge and experience to bring to a business.
With careers lasting far longer than in the previous generation, reinvention at 50-plus is a very real possibility. Career coach Rachel Schofield says in Forbes magazine: “It’s a collective lack of imagination and provision that’s costing the UK economy dearly.” This needs to change. Exiting a business at this stage of life has long-term financial and emotional implications, which is one reason Attivo supports Rosie’s Reinvention Retreats. Attivo addresses the workplace shift with in-house coaching, mental health training and the Attivo Female Financial Planning Initiative, which advocates for women in Attivo’s financial services business.
Rosie says: “I believe meaningful reinvention must be rooted in reality, and I am absolutely delighted that Attivo shares my vision for supporting midlife women”. And so, for women feeling ignored, side-lined or frustrated by a career which no longer sustains them, the time is right to ‘Organise like a Pro’ – as Rosie describes. Pause, Reflect and Organise.
As a sponsor of the events, Attivo will provide financial expertise at the retreats. Why not find your next ‘purposeful endeavour’ – come along to one (or two – or all three!) days in mid-October and explore your next steps.
