ATTIVO
Client story: Jeremy and Rosie
Attivo clients Jeremy Brazil and his wife, Rosie Doncaster, opened their home to a Ukrainian couple who needed a safe place to stay and helped them begin rebuilding their lives.
This October, they will continue that support by joining a vehicle delivery convoy to Lviv.
From offering a home to becoming like family
For Jeremy and Rosie, their involvement began with a simple but significant decision: to open their home. In 2022, they welcomed a couple from Kyiv to stay at their Oxfordshire farm.
Jeremy and Rosie helped them begin rebuilding their lives in the UK, including supporting them by providing a home as their own. The relationship has continued long beyond those first practical steps. The couple have become like family, and Jeremy and Rosie later travelled to Poland to celebrate their wedding — a joyful milestone after a period of extraordinary upheaval.
“When we first opened our home, we simply wanted to offer a safe place and help a couple begin rebuilding their lives. Since then, they have become part of our lives. Joining the vehicle delivery convoy feels like a practical way for Rosie and me to continue that support and help provide transport for essential evacuation work.” — Jeremy Brazil

Turning compassion into action
After hearing members of the Nettlebed Farming Club speak about the vehicle delivery convoys they had joined, Jeremy and Rosie decided to take part. This October, they plan to drive approximately 1,318 miles from Oxfordshire to Lviv with Driving Ukraine, a volunteer-led organisation that prepares and delivers vehicles used for civilian and medical evacuations.
Their goal is to raise around £15,000 to buy and safety-check a 4×4 in the UK and cover essential costs such as fuel, insurance and the Channel crossing. Once delivered to Lviv, the vehicle will be prepared to support civilian and medical evacuations in locations ordinary ambulances cannot safely access.
Behind every vehicle is a person who needs to be reached. Since Driving Ukraine was founded in 2022, the organisation reports that it has delivered more than 404 vehicles through 62 convoys and raised over £2.8 million. Jeremy and Rosie’s fundraising will help provide another vehicle for this vital evacuation work.
Living life around what matters most
At Attivo, we believe good financial planning should help people build a life that reflects what matters most to them. That means looking beyond finances alone to understand the people, priorities and causes that give life meaning. Jeremy and Rosie’s story brings that belief to life: opening their home, helping a couple rebuild their lives, and now giving their time to support essential evacuation work.
Help Jeremy and Rosie reach their target
Jeremy and Rosie hope to raise the funds needed before they leave in October. Every donation, whatever its size, will help buy and prepare the vehicle and deliver it for use in essential evacuation work.
