Attivo Lunch with Jack Savoretti

As part of our partnership with Cheltenham Festivals, and following the success of last year’s lunch with Gregory Porter, yesterday we were delighted to welcome festival headliner Jack Savoretti to an exclusive private dining, Q&A and intimate performance for some of our clients and Financial Planners.

We welcomed back the fantastic Cerys Matthews, BBC 6 Music presenter, to join us at the beautiful Cowley Manor close to our Head Office in Cheltenham.

Clients were welcomed by Stephen Harper, Chairman and founder of Attivo, other senior management and their Financial Planner to enjoy drinks overlooking the terrace and gardens (which, even on a cloud day were still beautiful), before moving over to the restaurant for a 5* lunch prepared using local food by Cowley’s celebrated chef, Jackson Boxer.

Ian George, Co-CEO of Cheltenham Festivals, highlighted the vital role that Cheltenham Festivals play in the local community. While they are known for the Jazz and Literature festivals in particular (as well as Science and Music), education sits at the heart of the charity, as they nurture talent, engage with schools and the community, and create unique experiences for all.

Following the meal, we were treated to a Q&A on stage between Cerys and Jack, where we learned more about Jack’s life story and what it means to him, his journey to becoming a singer/songwriter, and how his outlook on life has changed since becoming a father. He also interspersed this time with songs on his acoustic guitar which, given the small setting, was very moving.

Jack was performing his headline show at the Festival yesterday evening, so it was magical to witness such an intimate performance ahead of the main event with his band later.

There was an opportunity for selfies with Jack and Cerys, before we retreated to the bar for further socialising.

Overall this was an absolutely fantastic day and we’d like to thank our clients as well as Jack, Cerys and Cheltenham Festivals for making it such a memorable day. We look forward to our next client event soon. Keep your eyes peeled!
