Ben Sheward is a Chartered Financial Planner. He has worked in Financial Services for over 10 years and joined Attivo in 2021.
Ben holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is a member of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), part of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Technical Excellence
All Financial Planners require a Diploma in Financial Planning to provide advice. Ben holds both the Diploma and the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.
To achieve Chartered status, Financial Planners must hold Advanced Papers from the CII. Ben holds the following Advanced Financial Planning Papers:
Financial planning: Ben builds long-term strategies that align goals, resources, and lifestyle priorities.
Pension planning: He designs retirement solutions that balance security, flexibility, and tax efficiency.
Taxation and trusts: He structures wealth to protect assets, reduce tax exposure, and support succession.
Investment planning and Business financial planning: He develops portfolios that match objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizons.
Ben is a lifelong sports fan with a particular love for football, Formula 1, and rugby, favouring McLaren. He has supported Wolves for over 30 years and regularly attends matches. He keeps active through badminton, playing in a singles league, along with regular gym sessions. Through Attivo’s sponsorship, he’s also become an avid follower of Worcestershire County Cricket Club.
Cars are a major passion. He owns a classic Mini Cooper and travels around the country for car shows, including both Mini events and broader meets. He’s a regular at Wheels on Wednesday in Worcester, where hundreds of sports and vintage cars gather. He also enjoys vintage car shows, hill climbs, and supercar.
He travels at least four times a year. Recent destinations include Vietnam and India, and he’s explored much of the United States, with Miami being his favourite city.
Away from travel and cars, he spends time walking his dogs and supports the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
